The Ortofon 2M 78 Moving Magnet Cartridge practical, is an elegant solution for those who are searching for direct and easy mounting and replacement of cartridges on their tonearm. The inspiration for the 2M relates to the facets of the diamond, elegantly concentrating the contours against the grooves on the record surface. The Ortofon 2M 78 features an improved True Mono engine, providing a high level of sonic accuracy. An expertly cut Spherical diamond that is perfect for clear playback of those 78 rpm records that require a larger stylus profile. Older and rarer shellac records can be played at much higher-quality than has previously been possible. Optimised for ease of mounting the cartridge, the Ortofon 2M Red PnP weighs the same and shares the same dimensions with most common turntable cartridges on the market today. The interchangeable stylus units allow you to replace stylus when and as you need.
