An integrated CD player that uses the award winning Cyrus Servo Evolution CD engine, the Cyrus CDI CD Player is the best sounding CD player that Cyrus has produced to date. Every part of this CD player has been designed with absolute quality as the main concern, be that the power stage, all the way through to the analogue output. This CD player has been designed not only to deliver an audiophile quality experience, but with its simple and quick setup and ease of user control, the CDi is a high end CD player that will introduce even newcomers to the wonders of Hi-Fi.

The CDi contains many of the same components that can be found in the previous CD Xt Signature. This includes the latest generation LED disc loader, a quiet and low contact mechanism that will greatly improve upon more traditional tray loading methods. The use of high end components in these products enables the Cyrus range to outperform any other similar product in its price range.

With Servo Evolution technology included, the CDi's SE platform has been specifically engineered to retrieve data from your audio CDs whilst encountering far fewer errors than other players. Provision of ideal data output for Hi-Fi, the Servo Evolution technology will control the whole electromechanical servo system, which in turn will provide much better quality audio than can be found with other conventional drives.

A 32-bit Digital to Analogue Converter is included in the Cyrus CDi, providing it with all of the capacity that is needed to convert complex loads into full analogue output. Following on from the Cyrus trickle down approach, the DAC used in this player is the same DAC that can also be found in the Cyrus DAC XP Signature. The 32-bit DAC will allow for a range of improvements, including even greater detail retrieval and sonic resolution.

Further improvements can be made to your system through the connection of Cyrus' PSX-R2 external power supply. The addition of this power supply will drastically decrease the strain on the units internal power supply. With twin analogue outputs and two digital outputs, the CDi will fit into a variety of setups. Connection of an amplifier like the 82 DAC will produce an excellent, high quality sound, and the addition of a Stream Xa will offer streaming capabilities and complete your system. The CDi can be connected to further Cyrus units via the unique MC-BUS connections.

The smaller of two prestigious floorstanding models in the Revolution XT range, the Revolution XT 6F is a compact loudspeaker that delivers a dynamic full-range performance. Its 150mm (6.00") Omnimagnet Dual Concentric driver is augmented with a matching 150mm (6.00") bass driver to deliver LF extension down to below 40Hz. Both the Omnimagnet Dual, with its 25mm Linear PEI dome HF unit and Torus-Ogive waveguide, and the auxiliary driver feature a multi-fibre cone with rubber surround and a 44mm edge wound voice coil to ensure seamless bass performance. The Revolution XT 6F crossover uses low loss laminated core inductors and audiophile components throughout and further benefits from high purity oxygen free copper (OFC), silver-plated wiring.

The 31.1 litre Revolution XT 6F cabinet utilises the most compact iteration of Tannoy new twin-cavity coupled reflex system, featuring separate cavities coupled internally by tuned ports. Bass energy exits from a down-firing port between the angled base of the cabinet and the integrated plinth. The precisely engineered angle of the 'waveguide' formed between cabinet and plinth encourages LF energy to disperse forward into the room, making closer-to-wall placement of the speaker than is typically possible without major detrimental effect on sound quality. The result is tight and articular bass with exceptional power and extension whatever you room layout or loudspeaker placement requirements.

Each Revolution XT 6F cabinet is offered in Medium Oak or Dark Walnut real wood veneer, hand finished to the same exacting standards expected of bespoke cabinetry. This is particularly apparent in in-ear headphones. The sealing of the ear canal by the earphones normally causes resonances that result in a peak in the 7kHz to 8kHz range. This has the effect of masking the actual higher-frequency components. Precisely this problem has been overcome in the IE 800 by the use of an absorber." By absorbing the energy of the resonance, it prevents any unwanted peaks and allows all frequency components - even the finest nuances - in the music material to become audible.

Audioquest DragonFly Red USB DAC

The Audioquest DragonFly Red USB DAC is the new addition in the DragonFly range and has a lot of improvements compared to the previous model. One of the biggest additions is the ability for it to work with Apple and Android phones and tablets due to an array of new parts and technology. To connect to Apple devices all you need is Apple's Lightning to USB camera adapter and for Android you need an OTG adapter which Audioquest manufacture called the DragonTail.

Inside a DAC is an input processor called a USB microcontroller and for the DragonFly Red Audioquest worked extremely closely with Microchip Technology to design and make a new high performance full speed microcontroller that not only significantly lowers power consumption but also improves on the signal to noise ratio.

For the DAC chip itself Audioquest decided to limit the processing to 24-bit/96kHz and they did that for a couple of reasons, one reason being that it is fully compatible with PC's as you don't have to download and install new drivers. Another reason and a more important one is that faster processing can mean more noise so even though some extremely high end DACs with the best components do offer an incredible sound quality, many DACs can actually sound better when they have been down-sampled by the computer from 24/192 to 24/96 before then sending the data onto the DAC. This means that whether the music is being played from Spotify, YouTube, Tidal, ripped CD's or Hi-res files, the DragonFly is designed to get the best out of it.

The DragonFly Red features an improved 32-bit ESS Sabre 9016 DAC chip with minimum-phase filtering which allows a more natural, detailed sound. It includes the latest ES headphone amp and a bit-perfect digital volume control that exists on the actual chip itself which then allows a better sound quality that more dynamic and a better signal to noise ratio. The bit-perfect digital volume control is better compared to a digital volume control because the DragonFly red doesn't compromise the signal, doesn't reduce finesse and subtlety and low-level detail.

2.1 volts is the output power (compared to the 1.8V on previous DragonFly models) which is perfectly enough to easily drive all preamplifier input circuits and an even wider range of headphones that include very power hungry units. If you want to hear each instrument clearer and in a wider space then this is the DAC for you. Software updates for the DragonFly Red are rolled out through the free Windows and OS X desktop applications so even when music player applications, streaming protocols or other associated software have new developments and features you won't miss out on any of it.

The Planar 1 is pretty much a completely new turntable compared to the RP1, the only things kept the same are the drive belt, sub platter and dust cover. It features a brand new RB110 tonearm (which has its bias force preset so it can be set up in seconds) and is fitted with Rega designed bespoke zero play bearings. It's got a 24v low noise synchronous motor which reduces vibration transfer and it is the first entry level turntable Rega has ever made that includes a motor of that kind. The Planar 1 comes with a factory fitted Rega Carbon cartridge which is a high quality moving magnet pick-up cartridge designed to be simple to set up, easy to install, and above all accurately reproduce music.

A newly designed Thermoset plinth is available in two gloss finishes, Black and White, has a massively improved appearance compared to the old model and the on/off switch is located on the underside in an easier to reach place. The motor cover tray has integrated cooling meaning the motor won't be allowed to overheat and a brand new 23mm phenolic platter has been included which features a higher quality flywheel effect for improved speed constancy. The Planar 1 is pretty much a completely new turntable compared to the RP1, the only things kept the same are the drive belt, sub platter and dust cover. It features a brand new RB110 tonearm (which has its bias force preset so it can be set up in seconds) and is fitted with Rega designed bespoke zero play bearings. It's got a 24v low noise synchronous motor which reduces vibration transfer and it is the first entry level turntable Rega has ever made that includes a motor of that kind. The Planar 1 comes with a factory fitted Rega Carbon cartridge which is a high quality moving magnet pick-up cartridge designed to be simple to set up, easy to install, and above all accurately reproduce music.

A newly designed Thermoset plinth is available in two gloss finishes, Black and White, has a massively improved appearance compared to the old model and the on/off switch is located on the underside in an easier to reach place. The motor cover tray has integrated cooling meaning the motor won't be allowed to overheat and a brand new 23mm phenolic platter has been included which features a higher quality flywheel effect for improved speed constancy. And to top it all off the feet have been redesigned so vibration transfer is reduced and stability is increased.

Included with this turntable is the Rega performance pack which includes an upgraded drive belt, Bias 2 Cartridge and a higher quality mat. The improved belt adds greater speed, stability and accuracy which is noticeable most during long musical notes. The Rega Bias 2 cartridge offers outstanding sound quality and value for money. Proprietary designs use new parallel wound coils and pivot pads for improved detail, accuracy and excellent stereo imagery. The Rega Bias 2 has a conventional 0.5" centre distance and two hole mounting and will therefore fit all standard tone arms. The overall design makes it a perfect match for the Planar 2. The mat is made from 100% natural wool and directly improves the coupling between the phenolic resin platter and the vinyl LP.
