13 Inch Driver

The SB-3000 features a new 13 inch driver, a first for SVS subwoofers. The driver is capable of high level low frequencies, from an aluminium vented cone with a high stiffness to mass ratio and a proprietary injection moulded extreme excursion surround for great accuracy and control. The voice coil within the motor assembly is flat edge split wound to provide effortless power at high levels of excursion, simultaneously reducing mass and improving driver efficiency. This results in deep bass with precise response for your music and movies. The SB-3000 uses a dual ferrite magnet motor that weighs 11kg to generate massive amounts of current for extreme driver excursion from the 13 inch cone. The driver cone is constructed from lightweight vented aluminium with increased rigidity and composite fibre dustcap to generate high output with detailed, accurate sound.

Sledge Amplifier

With 800 Watts RMS and 2,500 Watts peak power, the Sledge STA-800D2 amplifier is able to maximise the potential of the SVS SB-3000's 13 inch driver, providing power and control. The efficient Class D amplification has the ability to move large amounts of current through fully discrete MOSFETs, giving an outstanding subwoofer performance. The SB-3000 contains a sophisticated 50 MHz high resolution analogue Digital Signal Processor, one of the most advanced ever used in a subwoofer, to create pinpoint accuracy of sound with advanced in-room tuning, optimised frequency response curves and powerful DSP controls.

Intelligent Control Interface

A new rear panel Intelligent Control Interface has been specifically designed for the SVS 3000 series, to provide optional controls of the subwoofers key controls. Adjustments can be made to the volume based on listening preferences and content for a full and balanced bass response. The ICI also includes a low pass filter for smooth sonic transition and seamless blending with loudspeakers in your system and a phase control to align timing of the subwoofer with loudspeakers.

SB-3000 Smartphone App

The 3000 series subwoofers are controllable from the SB-3000 subwoofer app, creating a convenient way to control volume, multiple DSP functions and programmable pre-sets for optimised music, movies and gaming. The app also allows you to adjust crossover frequencies, three band parametric EQ, polarity and room gain. Bluetooth connectivity allows full control of the subwoofer, and updates the rear panel settings of the ICI in real time.

Cabinet

The SB-3000 is constructed of double thick MDF with front baffle and extensive internal bracing, to create a resonance free environment within the subwoofer cabinet. Acoustic insulation eliminates any colour from the cabinet, allowing the sub to perform without compromise. A non-resonant steel mesh grille and custom elastomer feet are included to reduce noise within the room.
