The ND5XS2 is the newest range of network player designed and based on the innovative Naim-engineered digital technology. The network player has retained the classic look of Naim, but at the same time has brought forth massive audiophile-quality sound. The network player delivers engaging and natural sound quality from all the sources. The Naim engineering has contributed to careful matching and selection of network player parts like the highly-efficient toroidal transformer and de-coupled PCB Boards. The Naim ND5XS2 comes with advanced upgrades like AirPlay, Roon Compatibility, High Resolution UPnP streaming, Spotify Connect, Internet Radio, Chromecast and Multiroom Streaming.
The Naim Network Player makes use of the newest Naim Network Card featuring high speed, low-distortion low voltage signalling. The superior speed allows the decoding of HD audio formats up to 32 bits/384 kHz. An in-built DAC clock helps in controlling the flow of the audio data. A state-of-the-art SHARC DSP samples the data to 40-bit accuracy prior to feeding it into the PCM1791A Burr-Brown digital-to-analogue converter. The Naim Network Player comes with a classic brushed metal exterior. The seamless Naim streaming system allows access to streaming services like TIDAL, Spotify, and internet radio.
The design team at Naim have created a streaming system, which makes the best use of online services like Spotify and TIDAL. Further, the built-in Chromecast adds future-proof flexibility. Designed for excellent performance at all levels, the Naim streaming network player supports 802.11ac protocol and dual band Wi-Fi. The network player supports a wide range of music formats like FLAC, WAV, Apple Lossless, DSD, AAC, MP3, M4A and Windows Media-Formatted Files. The Apple Airplay helps in streaming music from Apple Music, iTunes or iOS devices.
The Naim ND5XS2 Network Player comes with front panel USB port for USB stored audio and MP3 player. The ND5XS2 features RC5 system integration, with which you can control compatible amplifiers connected to the network player from Naim app. Another highlight of the network player is its Roon ready feature; that works as an assistant to convert all your music collection into a beautifully laid out catalogue. The ND5XS2 comes with Bluetooth (aptX HD), which enables the network player to pair with your device, so that you can playback your music instantly in high definition and low latency.
