The tweeter incorporates a Heatsink assembly (located on the back of the tweeter) for very high power handling capability and also to minimize dynamic compression for unrestricted dynamic range at high output levels. Designed to faithfully reproduce the surround channels of your favourite surround sound media, the M&K X-24T Tripole® is an outstanding performer in even the most challenging rooms. Think of the Miller and Kreisel X-24T Tripole® as two speakers in one cabinet. First a near-ideal point source direct radiator (on the front baffle) with an MK SOUND Phase-Focused TM crossover feeding its 3.25" polypropylene woofer and 1" silk-dome Neodymium tweeter. The second is a dipole speaker using two unique 3.25" polypropylene mid-tweeters treated with a special damping compound. These drivers achieve a very smooth and transparent sound from 300 Hz through the critical midrange and beyond, due in part to the fact they operate without any midrange crossover (meaning optimum phase and sonic coherency).

For precise fi ne-tuning of the critical transition between the subwoofer and the main speakers, the MK Sound SB-12 subwoofer incorporates a phase control that is continuously variable between 0 and 180 degrees. To facilitate easy connection to ANY system, the M and K SB-12 includes inputs and outputs for line level and speaker level signals. A convenient signal detection circuit, automatically turns the subwoofer on when a signal is present and places it in standby after a period with no signal.
