The latest surface mount componentry, together with precision electronic components and a beautifully crafted case milled from a solid aluminium billet allows the Clearaudio Basic+ Phonostage to deliver the performance and features of much higher priced phonostage in a small, stylish and cost-effective package.
The circuit board is embedded with a massive precision CNC-machined solid aluminium block that forms a resonance-free chassis, providing excellent protection for the sensitive components from unwanted vibration and resonance. The Clearaudio Basic+ Phonostage's small size means that signal path lengths are kept extremely short which leads to a pure and noise-free musical reproduction, much greater than that of typical products in this price range.
The external power supply on the Clearaudio Basic+ Phonostage is built into a second solid aluminium resonance-free chassis, keeping the delicate audio signal away from mains power. As well as minimising hum and noise, this provides a highly refined and exact voltage to the delicate phonostage electronics, ensuring purity and stability of performance.
High quality gold plated input and output RCA terminals give a superb contact which will not degrade over time. Switching is provided for both MM (moving magnet) and MC (moving coil) cartridges making the Clearaudio Basic+ Phonostage compatible with virtually all phono cartridges. As with all clearaudio phonostages bearing the '+' name, the Basic+ can be further upgraded by the addition of the clearaudio ACCU+ auto-charging battery power supply.
