Rega 24 V Synchronous Motor
Among other features, Planar 10 comes with a custom ceramic oxide platter. Rega 24 V synchronous motor is of the highest quality and is extremely stable for the speed during the production. The motor is controlled by the advanced external power unit, the P10-PSU. This unit offers the greatest possible motor vibration reduction. Also, it includes electronic fine speed adjustment and the convenience of electronic speed change.

RB3000 Tonearm
The Rega Planar 10 Turntable comes equipped with the new RB3000 tonearm and an upgraded low-mass precision bias housing. We have developed a totally new low mass, central hub bearing assembly with improved mechanical integrity.
Rega production turntable sees for the first time a top brace made from ceramic that provides ultimate rigidity and accuracy. While at the same time creating the perfect platform between the tonearm and central bearing.

Tancast 8 Polyurethane Foam Core
The Rega Planar 10 Turntable is the third turntable of Rega line that has been built using our latest technology. Which is the ultra-lightweight Tancast 8 polyurethane foam core (a material developed for the aerospace industry).
This core is wrapped with two layers of High Pressure Laminate. HPL is very thin and highly rigid. The new design allows the new Planar 10 skeletal plinth to be 30% lighter than the original RP10 while also being more rigid than the previous model.
