Built-in Phono Stage
The Planar 1 Plus turntable builds on the success of the Planar 1 by adding a high-quality built-in phono stage. Based on the design of the Rega Fono Mini, the Planar 1 Plus outputs at line level, allowing you to connect to any audio system with ease. This turntable is a versatile deck, ideal for any listening system.
With an included phono cable, plug in and listen straight away. The connection also allows for a phono to jack cable for further flexibility.
Tonearm Design
The Rega Planar 1 Plus features the plug-and-play RB110 tonearm with bespoke, ultra-low friction bearings. This allows the tonearm to smoothly pivot whilst the record is playing. The lightweight tonearm integrates automatic bias, meaning you don’t need to worry about complicated set up. Simply screw the tonearm counterweight onto the arm and the Planar 1 Plus turntable is ready to go.
Cartridge
The Planar 1 Plus includes the Rega Carbon moving magnet cartridge pre-fitted to the tonearm. This is an excellent starter cartridge, based on an Audio Technica design. The Carbon cartridge features a replaceable stylus, keeping your records sounding fresh without hassle. The Carbon stylus can also be upgraded to the Carbon Pro stylus for improved performance.
Plinth and Motor
The Rega Planar 1 Plus uses a solid MDF plinth in matt black, matt white or walnut veneer finishes. An ergonomically located switch under the plinth gives you easy control. The central brass bearing provides improved fit and reduces stress on the main bearing. An asynchronous 24V motor offers better speed stability and low noise.
Platter
A phenolic resin 23mm high mass platter sits on the Planar 1 Plus turntable sub-platter. Manufactured with a flywheel effect, the platter helps maintain rotational stability, ensuring a smooth performance from your vinyl collection.
