Apex uses a 140 mm (51/2”) C-CAM cone that is housed in a very sturdy die-cast aluminium chassis and the motor system is quite large. Features a high power voice coil and cooled by venting.

The bass driver is complemented with a 25 mm (1”) C-CAM Gold dome tweeter capable of producing sound frequencies exceeding 35 kHz. Which are far beyond the limits of playing Blu-rays or HD audio files. The way our multi-award winning Silver RX speakers are designed was the inspiration for driver holders being fixed to the rear panel of the extremely inert Apex cabinet with only one bolt.

Which in fact allows them to ‘float’ as they are not in contact with the baffle. Thus removing a common source of distortion in regular loudspeakers.

What is more, this bolt doubles up as a cabinet brace, stiffening the whole structure to make it less susceptible to generating noises through vibration. The HiVe II port feature found on the Platinum Series is the one we have allowed into the design of the Apex enclosure.
