The Yamaha CX-A5100 AV Receiver comes as a new and improved version of its well-admired predecessor, the CX-A5000 and offers compatibility with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, dual XLR subwoofer outlets, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as full support of 4K video with HDCP 2.2 compatible HDMI.

For two-zone AV connectivity, two HDMI outputs are provided with independent, matrix switching to support the working of this AV receiver. The advanced HDMI zone switching in this AV receiver gives the user the flexibility to choose from all audio and video sources provided for playback in the Main Zone and Zone 2. The provision of an on-screen graphical user interface enables the user to browse and select content from the second zone irrespective of what is being played in the Main Zone.

Featuring an independent clock circuit which is established by Yamaha to eliminate jitter, the audio section of the CX-A5100 sports the acclaimed ESS SABRE Ultra DAC ES90196S for all networks. Decoding all the main and high resolution formats like DSD (2.8 MHz and 5.6 MHz) as well as FLAC, WAV, and AIFF at 192 kHz / 24-bit, the pre-pro is able to play the high resolution audio from a networked PC, NAS or USB flash drive.

AirPlay, Bluetooth, Spotify, Pandora, and other music streaming services are supported via on-board Ethernet and Wi-Fi. The CX-A5100's new 64-bit architecture takes on-board power to a new level.
