The Wharfedale Evo4.2 Bookshelf Speakers deliver powerful and detailed sound, benefitting from trickle-down technology from the flagship Elysian range, with a high frequency AMT transducer, a Kevlar woven woofers and a midrange driver, to achieve a full frequency sound.
The Wharfedale Evo4.2 bookshelf speakers incorporate technology derived from the flagship Elysian series, featuring a 3-way speaker design. A newly designed AMT (Air Motion Transformer) high frequency transducer replicates point-source audio, and is capable of moving large amounts of air for lower distortion and highly accurate musical reproduction.
The Evo4.2 speakers feature a weaved Kevlar woofer, for a naturally self-damped, yet lightweight material with reduced resonances. The Evo4.2 uses the larger 6.5 inch woofers, along with a 2 inch soft dome midrange driver for increased clarity. The custom designed Wharfedale computer aided optimisation technology allows for fine crossover tuning, resulting in a unified driver performance.
For increased bass extension, the Evo4.2 takes inspiration from the Elysian speakers, using the bass reflex system that was previously developed for the flagship range. The Evo series features a sleek, modern design capable of fitting in anywhere, and perform equally well for music and home cinema, when matched with the Evo4.C centre.
