The new Wharfedale DS1 Active Bluetooth Speaker has been developed to fill a growing demand for Bluetooth enabled Hi Fi quality speakers and this is Wharfedale first. The DS1 incorporates custom designed Hi Fi Quality Speaker drive units developed by Wharfedale engineers to produce outstanding sound quality from this little gem.
Incorporating aptX technology for Bluetooth, aptX is the latest technology that allows Bluetooth to reduce the bit rate without affecting audio Hi Fi quality.
The Wharfedale DS1 has incorporated a high performance patented DSP digital amplifier which is matched the new Wharfedale high-fidelity speaker drivers, DSP is abbreviated for Digital Signal Processing and processes the digital data like EQ compression and other processing before converting back to an Apologue signal. This means a highly accurate sound stage and no need for external amplifiers.
Matching your Bluetooth device is never a simple process however for those with NFC capable devices nothing could be easier, just place your device next to the DC1 and it connects automatically using the near field communication technology and a connection is established immediately.
