The Vita Audio R2i DAB/FM Radio marks the next logical step for the designers at Vita Audio. Featuring DAB and FM, the R2i takes the best bits of the R2 and adds iPod connectivity and a larger, clearer display. The popularity of the iPod has seen an exponential increase in the number of identikit docks, micros and speaker systems catering for the music player, so it's a relief to see something a little more refined and unique at the show.

Like the Vita Audio R2 the cabinet is machined and hand-crafted from compressed wood fibre (a material that is renowned for its excellent acoustic properties) and finished in warm and tactile rich walnut veneer or ivory high gloss lacquer. These finishes combine perfectly with the cool contoured steel panels and woven wire mesh grilles. The stylish RotoDial controller with its distinctive blue lit halo sits on top of the unit making operation simple and intuitive.

The Vita Audio R2i DAB/FM Radio eye-catching design undoubtedly adds grace to any living environment but on sound terms it also turns in a beautiful performance. Twin high-fidelity custom made drive units allied to class leading electronics with 3D sound processing and variable EQ provides a scale and quality of sound that belies its compact dimensions.

DAB and FM performance is exceptional, but the Vita Audio R2 DAB/FM Radio has values and uses far above that of a normal radio. On the front panel they have positioned a headphone socket and a line input so an MP3 player or any other audio device can be conveniently connected. On the rear panel they have provided two pairs of high quality gold plated phono sockets.

Adding further to the Vita Audio R2i DAB/FM Radio appeal is an easy to use alarm with sleep and snooze functions and a compact remote controller that enables all major functions of the Vita Audio R2i DAB/FM Radio to be operated and set from the comfort of your chair or bed. It also uses a modern and compact switch mode power supply which works with AC voltages ranging from 100-240v making it truly universal.
