Utilising newly designed ribbon technology, the Quad Z-1 creates a uniquely engineered product that is both robust and high-powered, yet maintains the delicate sound that ribbon speakers provide. Taking its influence from the original Quad Corner Ribbon, the Quad Z-1 brings this design into the modern era, as a well-built, high-quality product designed to pair with current high-powered amplifiers.
The ribbon tweeter has high sensitivity and bandwidth, due to the larger true ribbon used, giving better dynamics and a smooth midrange integration. The Quad Z-1 uses an innovative sandwich formation of the ribbon to provide the best audio quality for your music.
With Quad’s feature woven Kevlar cone design, the bass drivers of the Quad Z-1 speakers feature a double-roll surround, in a specific design that controls edge breakup, delivering equal clarity to the vocal range frequencies. With this exclusive technology, the Quad Z-1 bass driver is able to offer the same high quality as the ribbon tweeters, maintaining overall excellent sound across the whole frequency range, capable of reproducing any audio in rich sound.
The quality sound is equally matched by the Quad Z-1’s beautiful one-piece veneered cabinet. The speaker cabinet has a piano blackl acquered finish. The eye-catching curved design of the speaker will make a focal feature of any space, whether placed in the centre or the edge of the room.
