Time-shift mode can capture 6 seconds of audio from your source before you hit the Record button. Record level control allows you to optimize the volume for recording. And with Scale Factor Edit, you can even adjust the volumes of tracks after recording them! In addition to normal stereo recording, the Sony MDSJE480 has two long time recording modes; LP2 and LP4.

On the MDS JE480 when recording in LP2 Stereo mode, you can record two times the normal recording time.
