Alexa Voice-Control
The Sonos Beam has Amazon Alexa voice control built-in, allowing you to control any Alexa-compatible device in your home. Play music through online streaming services such as Spotify, Pandora and Amazon Music (over 50 different services are supported), or use voice commands to control the sound bar. With five in-built mics and noise cancellation, Alexa will hear all of your commands clearly, even if the TV is loud. The Sonos beam is also controllable through the Sonos Control app, AirPlay, as well as through the music service on your smartphone or tablet. It can also be paired with your TV remote, creating total flexibility on how you choose to use the soundbar.
Surround Sound
With full-range woofers and tweeters, the Sonos Beam gives clear sound including a speech enhancement function, to further clarify every word. Additionally, it can be connected wirelessly to a Sonos sub and a pair of Play:1 speakers to create a full 5.1 home surround sound system easily and effortlessly. The Beam will also function as part of a larger system with additional Sonos speakers such as Sonos One or Play:3. You can set up the speakers either on an existing wi-fi network, or on its own wireless network, so you can play music in any or every room, without the need for messy wires.
The Sonos Beam will connect to your TV via HDMI ARC, and includes the cable as well as an additional adapter if the specific port is not supported, so it is easy to set up and get going.
Sonos Control
Using the Sonos control app on an Apple touchscreen device lets you access online streaming services to play music from the Beam soundbar, as well as any connected Sonos speaker in your home, letting you choose the speaker and adjust the volume as necessary. Another feature of the app is the useful Trueplay function. The app will measure the sound reflections in the room, and adjust the speaker settings for the best listening experience with the Sonos Beam soundbar.
The Beam soundbar is features a compact and unobtrusive design allowing you to place it under the TV, or hang it on a custom wall mount for ease. The Beam is available in either black or white.
