Rotel RA1592 Amplifier

The Rotel RA1592 Amplifier is so impressive in its flexibility and sonic capabilities that it will deliver pristine quality audio for all of the latest source options, including CD (or better than CD) quality streaming, high res download sites, inexpensive mass storage devices, CDs and vinyl records.

Design and Technical

Leveraging the strengths of Rotel’s award-winning RC-1590 preamp and the Rotel RB-1582 MkII, the RA1592 will harness the potential of these two components and house them in a single chassis design. A powerful 200 watt-per-channel Clas AB amplifier that uses performance audio grade components, this amplifier will drive even those larger speaker systems with ease. The impressive toroidal transformer that has been custom-designed by Rotel technicians is a key element in the power supply design; this also includes custom slit-foil storage capacitors and a dual-monoblock topology. This all works together in order to ensure that the RA1592 amplifier performance will deliver in even the most complex music and real-world playback conditions.

In the Rotel RA1592 amplifier, user selectable A-B speaker outputs with five-way binding posts, RCA pre-output and dual subwoofer outputs have been included in order to provide the ultimate installation flexibility. In order to protect both the electronics and any speakers that you have attached to it, this amplifier’s protection circuits will monitor DC offset, overcurrent, short circuit and temperature.

AKM Digital-to-Analogue Converter

Complimenting the amplification section, the Rotel RA1592’s preamplifier has incorporated a high-spec 32-bit/768kHz AKM digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) as well as analogue stages that are of the highest possible quality. The DAC and the surrounding circuitry will support a wide range of source inputs that include DSD capable PC-USB (24-bit/192kHz), three coaxial, three optical, integrated aptX Bluetooth and a front-mounted USB iPod input. A phono stage input (Moving Magnet), XLR balanced input and three analogue RCA source inputs have also been included in recognition of those audiophiles who hold a passion for analogue music.

Custom Integration

Custom integration has been made as easy as possible with the inclusion of RS232 and Ethernet IP control, 2 trigger outputs, remote IR input and automated digital signal sense power control for easy connection to streaming sources and control systems.
