The Project Xtension 9 SuperPack is a superb turntable that highlights all of Project's 20 years of expertise in one compact model. With a chassis constructed out of MDF, giving this turntable a high mass and remaining non-resonant. Magnetic feet are also featured in order to decouple the main plinth from its base, resulting in a merging of "mass loaded" and "floating turntable" design principles.
Casting aside the old-standard adoption of pure metal for a main platter, the Project Xtension 9 SuperPack uses an alloy material that Project specially researched and uncovered. This alloy material has been damped in the inner side using thermos plastic elastomers (TPE). Project have then taken recycled vinyl records and glued them on to the top of this base structure, acting as a perfect mat. They have then baked this vinyl "sandwich" before precision balancing it, allowing the turntable to benefit from a resonance-free, heavy platter that runs ultra-silently on an inverted ceramic ball-bearing, with magnetic suspension.
The Project Xtension 9 SuperPack comes with a pre-fitted Project 9cc Evolution Tonearm that has been constructed from carbon-fibre. This armtube is designed to lead parasitic vibrations away from the cartridge and into the mounting board, guaranteeing the precise tracking of the record grooves by the needle and facilitating fine adjustments of vertical and horizontal tracing.
The Project Xtension 9 SuperPack also comes pre-fitted with an Ortofon Quintet Black, usually worth £649 on its own. Home to a Nude Shibata diamond, the Quintet Black is considered one of the best stylus profiles available today and is mounted on a high-performance Boron cantilever. The Shibata's slim and highly polished profile allows for an exceptionally wide contact area to the walls of the groove and works to ensure detailed and pure reproduction throughout the spectrum, including the highest frequency groove details.
The Project Xtension 9 SuperPack boasts all of these features, but remains stylish and elegant at the same time. Featuring a dustcover with adjustable hinges and coming in three high-gloss lacquer finishes, this turntable is both highly sophisticated in its functionality as well as in its design.

Pro-Ject products are designed and manufactured to the highest quality standards. However, if something does go wrong with the product we are here to help. From your date of purchase your product is warranted against faulty materials or workmanship for a minimum period of 24 months.
