The Primary E takes its design inspiration from two highly recognised Project turntables, the Elemental and the Essential II. The resulting Primary E combines traditional aesthetics with an excellent performance. With the same 8.6” aluminium tonearm as the Elemental, and the original Primary, sapphire bearings are included for optimal tracking. The tonearm has been specifically engineered and delicately pre-configured to provide a perfect match with the Ortofon OM pick-up cartridge, which is supplied with the turntable. This means that the tracking force and anti-skate are already set, and do not need to be adjusted during installation.
A new innovation not previously available on the Primary is that the Primary E now uses a direct to mains 230v motor. This design has been added due to its high standard on popular Project turntables such as the Debut Carbon. The Primary E retains a quiet consistent motor rotation after removing the external wall-wart supply, therefore eliminating the need for any additional power signal processing. As with the Primary, the Primary E uses the same perimeter drive belt system driven by the motor.
The main design of the Primary E is inspired by the Essential II, sharing the same high quality wood construction. The purpose designed wood platter, combined with the felt mat produces a lively, involving performance of vinyl. The Primary E comes in a matte black finish with a detachable dust cover also included.
The Primary E is purposefully designed to be easy to set up in order to start playing your vinyl records straight away. Simply install the drive belt and connect the turntable to a MM phono stage to hear your records. The Primary E turntable is an entry level product that doesn’t compromise on quality.
