The Project CD Box S2 features a slot loading CD player in a compact chassis, designed to match the Project S2 Electronics line, with aluminium casework. With pure CD playback at 1:1 bit-accuracy, the CD Box S2 performs with a higher standard than many disc players, with revamped inner workings from its predecessor. The CD Box S2 uses a mini computer system for perfectly reading of the Redbook Standard CD format with audiophile sound.
The CD Box S2 is fitted with a new advanced 32-bit/384kHz DAC board, to bring out more precision and detail from the digital audio, and includes a new feature to switch between digital filters. Infinite Impulse Response and Finite Impulse Response filters, with FIR filters operating a more complex DSP using more computing power, whilst creating a finer, linear digital processing.
The compact design of the CD Box S2 CD player allows it to fit in easily with any existing hi-fi system, or where space is restricted, whilst still offering an audiophile experience of CD playback. The CD player connects easily with either RCA stereo or a digital optical output for a simple integration into your system. The clear display on the front panel of the CD Box S2 and the control buttons make controlling the CD player easy, or use the supplied remote.
