Celebrating Excellence

With its micro-ridge stylus and the blend of other cutting-edge materials, the Celebration 40 is a true high-end design guaranteed to impress.  The mechanical foundation for the intricate workings of the Celebration 40 is a unique machined alloy “cradle”, into which the entire generator system of the cartridge is fitted.

The Alloy Cradle structure houses the sophisticated magnet system. The result of this assembly is a solid brass foundation and very wide dynamics alongside a vast open soundstage, a natural and pure midrange, and high frequencies that are extended but never bright.

The long-grain boron cantilever employed in the Celebration 40 provides class-leading energy transfer from the stylus to the coils. Further, the specially devised rubber suspension system is tuned for an optimised acoustic performance and extended cartridge life.

Excellence In Sound

Celebration 40 Moving Coil now implements the same solid, ultra-low-mass 75µm x 2.5µm Microridge stylus as the flagship Palo Santos Presentation. Its prevailing characteristics are rich, smooth and warm, yet it also retains a clarity and precision that defies its tonal character. As a result, this is a cartridge listeners can escape into for hours on end without fatigue.

The Microridge also tracks like few others are capable, navigating the record groove with ease. Musicality, emotion and bass depth with mid/high sweetness are all on offer, in the truest spirit of Sumiko phono cartridges.

The luxurious plum wood body, chosen for its ideal resonance characteristics, refines the sound, while its angled front panel provides a clear line of sight during cartridge installation. After assembly at Sumiko’s long-standing Japanese factory, master craftsmen further calibrate final adjustments for your enjoyment. The Celebration 40 not only celebrates Sumiko’s many years of existence but also represents many decades of analogue excellence.
