Outstanding Sound Reproduction
Increasing the cabinet volume results in an improvement in efficiency. Thus higher output, without the need for additional amplifier power. A reduction in back pressure within the cabinet allows them to tune for a stiffer, better controlled driver suspension.
REL retained those parts of the previous design that were the most efficient. Such as the aluminium centre cap which stiffens the lightweight 10” (250mm) cone and at the same time adds almost no mass. The new mix results in a significantly enhanced attack and dynamics with an increased level of transparency.
