Rega Planar 10 Turntable inc Apheta 3 cartridge is also equipped with a uniquely fabricated ceramic oxide platter which is diamond cut in production for the utmost precision and speed stability. The Rega 24 V synchronous motor is controlled by our most advanced external power supply, the P10-PSU.
The P10-PSU drastically reduces motor vibration. Allows for electronic fine speed adjustment, and facilitates the electronic speed change feature through its control. The Planar 10 aims to provide the peak level of Rega performance by extracting even more musical information from the groove of the vinyl record.
Due to the low weight as well as the stiff plinth design. Any noise resonance coming from the Planar 10 is minimised. Allowing the records to sound like they have never sounded before.
Tancast 8 Core
The Rega Planar 10 Turntable inc Apheta 3 cartridgeis the result of the ultimate Rega turntable. The Naiad, the design of which had great influence on it. In order to make it really lightweight and yet durable. The ultra-light skeletal plinth made of Tancast 8 core. The new Planar 10 model will come with the Apheta 3 MC cartridge as a pre-installed feature from the factory.
This top-of-the-line cartridge was created specifically for the Planar 10. It incorporates the most technologically advanced “Fine Line” diamond profile of theirs. The Planar 10 turntable is the recommended pair to the Apheta 3 factory fitted package.
RB3000 tonearm
Minimal mechanical joints are a key feature of the tonearm’s entire structure while the stiffest materials are used in all the critical areas. The RB3000 tonearm has such a tight tolerance that no adhesive is used at any point throughout the construction.
Zero Tolerance Bearing Assembly
We have released a new ultra-low mass, precision engineered, vertical bearing assembly which has been manufactured to further complement the inherent design philosophy of the Rega Planar 10 Turntable. The RB3000 tonearm features an advanced, preloaded zero tolerance bearing assembly. Which is adjusted to less than 1000th of a mm.
It not only equals the friction free movement but also the zero levels of unwanted play. Simply put, the combination of friction free bearings and zero play allows record groove ridges of less than a micron to be readable.
Award Winning RB3000
Moreover, the RB3000 features our most recent, award-winning, aluminium, Rega arm tube (each one of which is hand polished with extreme care. Resulting in mass being kept to a bare minimum. Which was reshaped to redistribute the mass and further eliminate stresses and resonances.
This primary shaping of the tube has the effect of raising the stiffness and rigidity of the whole assembly. Thus reducing the strain on the bearings even more.
P10 -PSU power supply
Using our high-end P10-PSU power supply. This offers 24V synchronous motor and electronic fine speed adjustment. The convenience of electronic speed change. It is the Rega 24 V synchronous motor that is being driven by our most advanced outboard power supply, the P10-PSU. It has the ability to extract more information from the vinyl groove than previous Rega models.
