The Nd3 Cartridge uses new generator geometry with perfect symmetry for precise channel balance. The Nd3 Moving Magnet also features an optimised pole gap, resulting in superior crosstalk characteristics and linearity.

This provides a far wider soundstage than the previous models. This new cartridge is created with miniaturised parallel coils that Rega winds in-house using 38-micron wire with just 1275 turns. This method produces a low impedance generator for improved treble response in the Nd3 Cartridge.

ND Magnet Technology

The Rega Nd3 is the first moving magnet Cartridge to feature a Neodymium N55 magnet. These are often found in Moving Coil designs as a powerful magnet. The Nd3 cartridge uses this magnet to deliver more power than a standard bar magnet.

The assembly is enclosed within our zero tolerance Injection moulded glass filled polyphenylene sulphide body (PPS) which is a light yet very stiff material.
