The Rega Elex MK4 Amplifier is made for high performance and to provide music at its purest. It boasts a new chassis to visually align with the Rega family. The MK4 continues the tradition of the previous Rega models by incorporating the multi-award winning class A/B power amplifier circuit. Which gives a power output of 72W per channel into 8 Ω loads (90W into 6 Ω).
Rega Elex MK4 Amplifier
The Elex MK4 has new rear connectivity options and now comes with a built-in Rega DAC circuit with two digital inputs and a smartly integrated high-quality headphone output situated on the front panel for easy access.
Make Your Music Come to Life
The Elex MK4 will have no problem pushing even the most challenging speakers to their limits. Also, by providing more connectivity choices, this amplifier will fit in flawlessly with any audio system.
Alongside the line level, digital inputs, and a very nice moving magnet phono stage. You will also be able to find Pre-out and Record Out alongside a headphone output. Throughout the design, there are discrete circuitry, high-quality relays, polypropylene capacitors, and Sanken output transistors.
Digital to Analogue Convertor
The design of the DAC largely derives from the tremendously popular Rega DAC-R circuit. The galvanically/optically isolated digital inputs include a Wolfson S/PDIF receiver IC to take full advantage of detail and clarity from any connected source.
Output is taken from a Wolfson DAC and a Rega designed discrete line-driver circuit. Rega engineers have not only ensured that the digitization of the inputs does not negatively influence the analogue side of the circuit but have also done their utmost for the latter to remain unaffected.
Phono Stage
The performance level of a high-end Rega designed integrated moving magnet (MM) phono stage is phono stage present as a single component of the circuit and is very carefully constructed. RIAA equalization has been divided into two separate stages to reduce the possibility of interaction. The capacitors are of the polyester type in the signal path, and the RIAA equalization circuits use polypropylene capacitors.
Headphone Amplifier
Rega has been extremely careful when giving the Elex MK4 a headphone socket. It has been set up in such a way that the output mute relay carries out the speaker switching to keep the signal path free. Plus, to make sure that there is no loss of performance when it is not in use.
New Custom Case Design
The new design and construction of the custom case have brought the Elex MK4 on a par with other products of the Rega range and also by turning the entire casing into an extremely effective heat sink. It increases the efficiency of heat dissipation.
