Based on the same principles as the highly praised T1, the Project T2 Super Phono Turntable is a feature-rich turntable equipped with a beautifully designed aluminium tonearm and a Sumiko Rainier cartridge that is pre-mounted for excellent sound quality from first use.
Project T2 Super Phono Turntable
Compared to the normal T2, the Project T2 Super Phono Turntable comes with a switchable, top-notch dual-stage split-passive MM phono preamp offering real plug and play sound quality.
Precision Speed AC Motor
A high-level belt drive system is installed in the stanchion, including an electronically controlled, precision-speed AC motor with Pro-Ject’s T-Line sub-platter. Which is finely engineered and installed in a stainless steel axle/brass-bushing main bearing.
The sub-platter spins the new heavy, zero-resonance glass platter using a servo mechanism, which ensures the ideal playback surface for vinyl records. A rocker switch for a speed change is provided for convenience.
High End Phono Preamp
The Project T2 Super Phono Turntable has a high-quality dual stage split-passive MM phono preamp – as first seen in the critically acclaimed T2 W. Because of the additional PCB space available on the T2 Super Phono. Pro-Ject were able to improve the design and layout a notch, which gives the T2 Super Phono even more fighting power for longevity and audio performance.
And the phono stage can be turned off should you ever want to use MC cartridges on your T2 Super Phono.
Speed Control
Inside the plinth, a belt drive system of the highest caliber is integrated. This system features an electronically governed, precision-speed, extremely quiet AC motor which essentially is the heartbeat of the Pro-Ject’s T-Line sub-platter.
The latter is situated inside a main bearing made of a stainless-steel axle and brass bushing. It is the sub-platter that powers the heavy and totally silent glass platter in an efficient and stable manner. Thus giving a vinyl record playing surface that is absolutely perfect.
Moving from one speed to another is very straightforward and can be accomplished by a rocker switch through which the user can easily select 33 and 45rpm settings.
Electronically Regulated AC Motor
Inside the plinth of the ‘heart of the whole belt drive system’. Actually, a top performance electronically regulated AC motor operating at high precision speed is mounted on the Pro- Ject’s excellently-engineered T-Line sub-platter. This is further joined by a stainless-steel axle/brass-bushing main bearing.
Zero Resonance Glass Platter
Besides being the main power transmission, it is the sub-platter that now directly energizes the beautiful hefty, zero-resonance glass platter with rock-solid unshakable stability. Also, giving a perfect playback surface for vinyl records. Speed change is done very easily by a rocker switch for the user changing between 33 and 45rpm.
The new 9” tonearm of the T2 is entirely brand new. It is a single-piece aluminium tube which also includes a low-friction gimble bearing assembly. Supplemented by a spring-loaded anti-skate mechanism.
Sumiko Rainier Cartridge
The tonearm featuring the excellent sounding award-winning cartridge Sumiko Rainier. From the first sound listening session, catch the taste of music wonderfully. Is also factory pre-set to the correct downforce. Thus no elaborate set-up is necessary – you can start playing right away!

Using similar technology as in external phono stages.
