The Mission LX-6 MKII Floorstanding Speakers cope with the task of providing the audience with the best sound quality. They have been designed in a way to make your listening feel larger than life, which smaller speakers can’t achieve.
Mission LX-6 MKII Floorstanding Speakers
Mission LX MKII is the result of hundreds of hours of critical listening by their lead acoustic designer, Peter Comeau. It brings trickle-down technology from the highly-acclaimed ZX range to the user. Mission has been upgrading its famous DiaDrive bass unit to give it an incredibly precise control of the bass diaphragm movement.
On top of that, the speakers deliver cleaner highs and the tightly-braced cabinet further adds to the quality of the speaker system which can actually outperform those in the same price-class.
Updated Technology
The old LX Mk1 models have now been replaced by the Mission LX range. This range, which still represents the entry-level of Mission’s home-cinema speakers, has been enhanced with the inclusion of superior drivers, updated technology. Plus, it still retains Mission’s trademark IDG design.
This is one of a kind at this price-point, hence if you want a nice quality speaker at an entry-level price, you can’t go wrong with it.
Dual Layer Fiber Composition
The Mission LX-6 MKII comes equipped with two 6.5” bass drivers and a 5” midrange driver. The drivers are made of an innovative dual-layer fiber composition. That shows excellent self-damping and has a very high stiffness to mass ratio. The three-way set up separates the bass and mid-range so that each driver can focus on their own frequency.
The LX6 Mk2 is also with a lightweight 25mm microfiber dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet for maximum magnetic force in a small space. It produces crisp, clear and detailed high frequencies.
Comb Tooth Serrations
Essentially, they also adopt the very same method as that employed in the ZX and QX ranges. Wherein ‘comb-tooth’ separations are installed around the drivers to help scatter interfering reflections. Thus resulting in a purer, more lifelike sound quality.
Inverted Driver Geometry
Mission have used their IDG (inverted driver geometry) concept in all the speakers of the LX MK2 series. The idea behind this is the positioning of the midrange driver above the tweeter. The result is that the soundwaves from the woofers and tweeters arrive at the listener’s ear level with less time difference.

Have owned a set of these for nearly a year now and they are amazing for the price. I bought them because I’ve always found Mission speakers to be very good, and these are really punching above their weight. Solid deep bass, lovely transparency with mid and highs. They can also be driven pretty hard without them becoming too boomy although the highs can be just a little bright sometimes. Overall thoroughly recommend.
