The Mission LX-4 MKII Floorstanding Speakers is the smallest floorstanding speaker in the range but still has the power to amaze. The efficient speakers are ideal for medium-sized rooms and can easily play the punchy, rhythmic sound which has made Mission a household name.
Mission LX-4 MKII Floorstanding Speakers
With the help of not one but two bass woofers, LX-4 MKII can deliver deep bass and a punchy dynamic range from a slimline cabinet. Twin bass ports at the rear further enhance the bass efficiency. So you get a rich, harmonious sound even at low volumes.
The mid/bass drivers are equipped with ‘comb tooth’ serrations. Their purpose being to break up the reflections of the sound from the cone and its surround so that the sound is delivered more purely.
Inverted Driver Geometry
It being a inverted driver geometryr, the mid and bass drivers still act in parallel even though there are three drivers in total. The mid/bass woofers are both 5 inches and made of composite fiber; they deliver a strong low and mid range.
This is augmented with a 25mm microfibre dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet. Which is said to have a clear, dynamic, and detailed sound. The microfibre dome was selected because it is a lightweight material.
Inverted Driver Geometry
As with the smaller models, the IDG design (inverted driver geometry) swaps the tweeter and the woofer positions. So that they are ‘upside down’ to keep the high frequencies at ear level. On the LX4, however, the tweeter is positioned in-between the two woofers. But the idea is still the same, to keep the high frequencies at ear level.
Choice of Colours
It comes in a finish of Walnut , Black or White to complement any decor. The rounded front baffle is without a grille or speaker fittings. So it looks neat and visually pleasing. To enhance a stealthy appearance, just put on the enclosed grilles

Summary of the Mission LX-4 MKII Floorstanding Speakers
One of the critical areas highlighted by the development of Mission’s upmarket QX speakers is the use of ‘comb-tooth’ serrations in the driver surrounds to help scatter interfering reflections from localised surfaces to the bass/mid cones.
The LX MkII Series has taken this idea even further and added not only similar serrations to the main driver surrounds. But also indentations around the tweeter. Thus finely tuning the output of the drive units and resulting in a more controlled frequency response than the previous generation of LX speakers.
Excellent Sound Reproduction
The Mission LX-4 MKII speakers impress. Not only with their sound capabilities. But also as a testimony to the spirits behind the thoughtful design. As the earliest principle of beautiful music production. The LX-4 MKII models combine music and design so excellently that one can identify them as a plethora of outstanding sound reproduction and beauty to all music lovers.
Leaving an unforgettable impression of clarity, musicality. Plus, excellent sound reproduction.
