Compact Bookshelf Design
The Mission 750 Bookshelf speakers combine the technology and performance of the 770 and 700 models in a compact package. Due to popular demand, Mission developed the 700 series industrial design, which was influenced by the original models.
Unlike the reimagined 770 and 700, the Mission 750 speakers are an entirely new concept. They accommodate budgets below the larger models in the series and have the same outstanding design.
Cabinet Design
Starting with the cabinet, the Mission 750โs housing is only 355mm x 216 x 270. Perfect for a bookshelf speaker application. Yet, it retains a design and build standard equal to the Mission 700, including the multi-layer sandwich construction. A custom internal bracing structure complements a special acoustic damping adhesive for solid cabinet construction.
A foam and long-hair fibre lining aid internal resonance control, while the custom-profiled rear reflex ports aid in bass extension beyond what is traditionally expected from a cabinet of these compact dimensions.
Inverted Driver Geometry
Inverted Driver Geometry is a crucial design component of Missionโs loudspeakers, from the 700 series onwards. Placing the treble unit below the bass/midrange driver balances the sound path, resulting in sound waves coinciding with the listenerโs head height. This technique improves the musical time alignment in the 750 bookshelf speakers for a more coherent experience.
Bass Drivers
The new Mission 750 speakers use new a polypropylene bass/midrange driver and motor system with a 5.25-inch profile. The innovative cone technology not only allows the speaker to meet power handling and dynamic requirements but also maintains an extended bass response and low colouration.
Every aspect, from the rigid, cast chassis to the low-density surround, delivers a driver with greater rigidity and precise cone termination for dynamic performances and tight, fast, and energetic output.
High-Frequency Unit
The lightweight 28mm microfibre dome, which provides high-frequency reproduction, is the same as found in the Mission 700 model.
With a very similar performance to the flagship 770, the Mission 750 also incorporates a damped rear chamber to control the resonance and extend the bandwidth for smooth treble performance.
