The time of 2025 was an exceptional period for those Jethro Tull fans who had the chance to enjoy the unusual, and really breathtaking Songs From The Vault release.
It was the time of the recording studio alongside the launch of the “Songs From The Vault” release. This was only accessible through the Record Store Day (RSD) and it was a black vinyl which was the 1LP format copy of it.
This very limited edition LP album was a complete compendium of the lost and undiscovered pieces until that time.
“Songs From The Vault” is not just a simple combining of British progressive rock and folk elements, but rather a unique, and totally exclusive musical journey as it is a full portrayal of the spiritual and creative power of Jethro Tull’s music.
A Dive into the Archives
The “Songs From The Vault” collection is the end product of the most challenging, yet selective process that the band ever encountered where they have put their heads on which songs that have been “dead” and completely or partially forgotten throughout the years.
Indeed, the line-up of the songs for the LP is a complete madhouse with fanatics on cloud nine over the newest releases and also with the closest ones reminiscing the old records, so, in that sense, the slab is a kind of a lucky gamble for the band.

Indeed, the songs from “Songs From The Vault” were the high light of my day when I learned they were a release for the RSD 2025. I anticipated the experience of playing in the deep archeological layers of time.
There was a kind of eureka effect to each song – a feeling each piece was adding a dimension to my old perception of the band and thereby my appreciation of the band. It’s crazy! I get to hold in my hand a music time capsule that has not long ago been lost to time, we do not even think about them today.
