A bookshelf loudspeaker of Kanta N°1 series that can visually disappear on any shelf or stand: room solution under 270 ft2 (25 m²). At the same time an acoustic instrument and a personal object: that is roughly the Kanta DNA! After a long period of development.
Focal Kanta No1 Bookshelf Speakers
Focal presents a new blending of its own technologies. The jointing of beryllium-tweeter of IAL3 third generation with flax for bass and midrange units.
Flax Cone for Bass Response
An accurate and detailed sound with enough vibrancy and warmth. This is the beginning of a new era for fans of top sound. A real opener is the surprise element of the bass frequency range for such a small size which occurs after the first few seconds of immersion. If it is enclosured or nearby a wall. A foam-cushion can be put on the port-hole to further enhance the bass.
Excellent Sound Reproduction
After three years of diligent research and development, Kanta No.1 has finally been launched. Featuring exclusive, new materials and a performance-oriented design, the Kanta No.1 is a reflection of Focal’s excellence in every aspect. Kanta No.1 is the result of Focal’s innovative efforts to integrate the best technologies. A Flax sandwich cone speaker has been paired with a Beryllium tweeter for the first time ever.
Incredible Warmth And Musicality
When it comes to sound clarity and precision, Flax remains the ultimate low mass/rigidity/damping combination. Thus, the Flax/Beryllium combination plays out the music with incredible warmth and musicality.
TMD (Tuned Mass Damping) Suspension
By using TMD (Tuned Mass Damping) suspension, the midrange unit comes with reduced distortion. Also, an NIC (Neutral Inductance Circuit) motor has been integrated into every Kanta model. Which neutralizes the magnetic field for delivering a more natural sound and well kept bass. That is the beginning of a fresh chapter for audiophiles.
High Density Polymer (HDP)
Various features of the speaker, including the density and stiffness of the materials used for the baffle and shell. As well as the softened angles and double vents, have been thoughtfully planned and executed to bring about an acoustic softness and warmth. The baffle is made using a new material that aligns very well with acoustic criteria. It consists of a single piece of high-density polymer (HDP).
This kind of material has great qualities. It is 70% denser than MDF, 15% stiffer, and offers 25% more damping. The one-piece baffle totally wipes out any sound diffraction. Two vents, one at the front and one at the rear, play a role in limiting bass compression by bringing in Power Flow technology encoded in the Kanta.
Immaculate Sound Quality
Kanta speakers, with their elegant, sinuous design, are a perfect blend with your interior. A variety of finish options are offered for the rounded shape so you can choose the one that fits your room the best. If you want to go for the modern look, pick either high gloss black or white.
Also, to ensure that the speakers don’t mentally distract you. They come with matte black and matte white front baffles which absorb light instead of reflecting it. In addition, the walnut finish option is also provided together with the choices of black or ivory front baffle. For a more low-key look, simply fix the magnetically attached woofer grilles.
