The Audioquest Cinnamon Ethernet Cable features high-purity Solid 1.25% Silver conductors and Level 1 Noise-Dissipation for the most efficient dissipation of radio-frequency noise.
Solid 1.25% Silver Conductors
Solid conductors minimize the harmful effects of both electrical and magnetic strand-to-strand interaction. For digital cables, whose signals are of such high frequency that they travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor, increasingly thick layers of silver plating are applied to AudioQuestโs Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors to further improve Noise-Dissipation.
Placing the superior metal on the outside of the conductor produces the greatest benefit on overall performance. This is a superbly cost-effective way to maximize a digital Ethernet cable.
High Density Polyethylene Insulation
Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is part of an imperfect circuit. Both wire insulation and circuit board materials absorb energy. They store some of this energy and then release it as distortion.
Because air absorbs next to no energy and Polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile, High Density PE, with its high air content, causes much less of the out-of-focus effect common to other materials. This helps the Cinnamon Ethernet maintain a pure signal.
CAT7 Ethernet
The Cinnamon Ethernet cable is certified CAT7, allowing 10-Gigabit Ethernet over 100m of copper cabling for optimum performance. All conductors are controlled for RF noise directionally.
