ProAc Response DB1 Speakers

Proac is known for their imposing build quality, as well as their bias towards natural designs and the Proac DB1 loudspeaker follows this. It is shaped with attention to details, including the hardware and the overall performance. The robust cabinet construction is complemented by excellent real wood veneers and inside it is a long-throw bass driver, with an elevated linear motor system, to ensure you get the best in audio delivery.

First impressions are that the DB1 cabinet is bigger than the previous D1 model. The cabinet is made with different thicknesses; high-density MDF and black coal restraining boards are used so undesirable resonance is significantly reduced. The driver is constructed from a carbon mixed pulp, which is then coated with elastic and fixed with Proac Acrylic Phase Plug.

The midrange driver works in union with a silk dome tweeter, combined by a newly developed crossover that is precisely tuned for producing better audio delivery at higher sound levels. The midrange and high frequencies of the DB1 are excellent.

The bass driver offers impressive bass reproduction considering it's only a small bookshelf speaker. The Proac DB1 Speakers come with real wood veneer standard finishing, including Mahogany, Cherry, Black Ash and Maple along with Silk White. Other options include premium veneer finishing like Rosewood and Ebony.
