The Pioneer SCLX83's MCACC auto calibration system automatically optimises many aspects of the AV Receivers sound settings (using an included microphone) based on the positioning of connected speakers and acoustics of the room environment.

The SC-LX83 also features PQLS Multi-Channel. PQLS is a jitter reduction system that improves the coherence, timing and soundstage of audio playback, it stands for Precision Quartz Lock System. This feature caters for jitter-less multi-channel playback over the HDMI interface.

New for the Pioneer SCLX83, RF remote control; for flexible installation options, this remote does not require direct line-of-sight to the AV equipment. This is useful for custom installations where the source components and AV Receiver are stored away, and can all be controlled from one remote utilising IR blasters.
