On the new Pioneer DVR 3100 in an interesting feature called Chase Play, this means that if you are interrupted whilst watching your favourite programme, simply start recording on a DVD-RW disc in 'VR Mode'. You don't have to wait until the show is over to see what happened. When you return, you can start viewing the programme again from precisely the moment you left off. The DVD recorder will continue recording the rest of your programme.
