-Onkyo TXNR1009 AV Receiver
The Onkyo TX-NR1009 AV home cinema receiver transforms your living room into an immersive entertainment space. As the world's first receiver to feature DTS Neo:X™, it harnesses 9.2 channels of pristine audio to create expanded soundscapes with spine-tingling ambience. Build quality propels the Onkyo TX-NR1009 to the very top of the mid-range class. Housed in a rigid, vibration-reducing cabinet are separate power/pre-amp blocks, a massive transformer, and symmetrical L/R channels. This rock-solid base supports high-power amplification and a superb range of connections and processing features. Eight HDMI® inputs handle 3D video from Blu-ray, 4K video upscaled by Qdeo™ technology, and studio-quality lossless audio formats. An Ethernet port lets you incorporate internet radio and networked audio from a PC or media server. And USB ports let you play audio files stored on a flash drive or iPod/iPhone. All your video sources benefit from high-quality HQV® Vida™ technology and independent ISF calibration. And for the dedicated home cinema enthusiast, the TX-NR1009 includes advanced features such as bi-amping, 9.2 multichannel pre-outs, and powered Zone 2 and Zone 3 audio
The eight HDMI inputs on the OnkyoTX-NR1009 let you connect multiple high-definition sources, such as a Blu-ray player, a gaming console, and a cable/satellite tuner. These are complemented by two HDMI outputs that let you send a pristine signal simultaneously to a pair of compatible high-resolution displays. The HDMI implementation on this receiver supports both 3D video and an Audio Return Channel, along with numerous high-resolution formats. 3D video brings exciting possibilities to home entertainment, with movie, game, and broadcast content on the increase and 3D-compatible TVs now on the market. Meanwhile, the Audio Return Channel allows audio content received directly by your HDTV's tuner to be sent "upstream" via HDMI to your A/V receiver, without the need for a separate S/PDIF audio cable.
Linking directly to the internet or to a media server or home PC via a local network, the Onkyo TXNR 1009 takes streaming audio and internet radio to a whole new level. MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, FLAC, WAV, Ogg Vorbis, AAC, and LPCM audio files can now be played back through your main system with unprecedented power and fidelity. The TX-NR1009 also brings to life a huge array of internet radio channels from Last.fm* and vTuner, plus on-demand music streaming from Napster* and Spotify*. As well as being compatible with earlier platforms, the receiver is compatible with Microsoft's Windows® 7 platform, which includes the DLNA 1.5-specified "Play To" media-streaming feature.
