The Onkyo PR-SC886 AV controller delivers state-of-the-art features and performance for the most technically sophisticated home theatres. Designed to connect to high-end amplifiers, this A/V controller includes full high-definition processing capability over HDMI™, comprehensive 1080p upscaling of video sources with HQV Reon-VX, and a wide array of connection options. It's also the first A/V controller to feature built-in ISF (Image Science Foundation) video calibration alongside Onkyo's RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI) system integration and control protocol. The Onkyo PR-SC886 supports multi-room set-ups, including the option of component and composite video outputs in the second zone and subwoofer pre outs for the second and third zones.
Conventional D/A conversion methods reduce digital pulse noise at the conversion stage but can't remove it completely. Previously only found on Onkyo's high-end components, the Onkyo PRSC886 AV preamplifier features Onkyo's own VLSC (Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry) which employs a unique D/A conversion circuit to overcome this problem. Data is converted between sampling points and these points are joined with analogue vectors in real-time to produce a smooth output wave form. The result - a virtually noiseless, smooth analogue signal based on the digital source.
