Experience more insight and hard-to-define clues of rhythm and melody with the DAC digital to analogue convertor. Naim converter carries forward Naim's legacy of audio engineering that is developed through years of experience to redefine your musical experience. The exterior design of Naim DAC is typical of the brand comprising a black enclosure that features a thick aluminium slab. Green lit company logo lies in the slightly recessed middle part while the control buttons are situated at the right side. Connect inputs or use pen drive in the USB type A (host) socket. Two green LEDs indicate synchronization with the drive (SYNC) and also reception of high-resolution signal (HD).
The Naim DAC digital to analogue convertor has Burr-Brown converter chips inside which are also a part of Naim's flagship CD555 CD player. Since the DAC does not require a timing signal for reading data, overcoming the jitter inherent in standard digital connections is not a problem. This DAC is also DSD compatible and comes with an improved sound quality owing to the optimisation of the core DSP code undertaken by the brand. The DAC converter is also appreciated for its flexibility as it can easily adapt to any system configuration with its eight S/PDIF and two USB inputs.
Reduced noise in the system is warranted by the presence of two switches used to select DIN or RCA output and for separating the signal ground from the floating ground (chassis). Electrical isolation of its DSP front end from the analogue circuits as well as the digital to analogue converter, allows suppression of RF noise from S/PDIF. You can run each element from separate power supplies.
