This package combines the Monitor Audio Silver 200 Speakers, Silver FX Speakers, Silver C150 Centre Speaker and the Silver W12 V2 Subwoofer in order to create the perfect 5.1 surround sound speaker system.

Silver 200 Speakers:

The two bass drivers included in the Monitor Audio Silver 200 Speakers operate in separate acoustic chambers within the enclosure to provide differential tuning. They are divided optimally with crossovers to allow both bass drivers to contribute to the lower frequencies, ensuring that only the mid-range crosses over with the tweeter, resulting in a consistent and precise image, both on and off axis. This configuration will allow these speakers to deliver a performance approaching a three-way design whilst ensuring higher efficiency and extended low frequency in a smaller cabinet.

The drive units used in the Monitor Audio Silver 200 Speakers have been constructed using massive magnetic systems that are capable of deep bass extension. Silver C150 Centre Speaker:

The Monitor Audio Silver C150 Centre Speaker has been primarily designed to partner Monitor Audios smaller stand-mounts and floorstanders currently in the Silver Series range. Carefully voiced to compliment the timbre and balance of the Silver 50 and the Silver 200 models, the Silver C150 guarantees a sonic character that will remain consistent. This centre speaker is diminutive enough to position easily under most AV racks or on cabinets, with no need to resort to a dedicated speaker stand.

The Silver C150 remains compact, sitting at the very heart of your surround-sound system, and features two of Monitor Audio's 5 ¼-inch C-CAM bass drivers in a familiar three-driver configuration. The system has been electrically designed to be a two-and-a-half way configuration, providing better dispersion and elimination of the central 'dead spot' exhibited in the typical mid-tweeter-mid (MTM) configuration. The new C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter is included, used to deliver articulate dialogue and crisp dynamics to movies.

Silver FX Rear Speakers:

The Monitor Audio Silver FX Rear Surround Speaker covers all the requirements that a rear and side channel may need: a loudspeaker that has been specially designed for 5.1 and 7.1 systems and Monitor Audio's advanced technology. The Silver FX is a wall-mountable, compact two-way design that offers dual dispersion characteristics for the perfect surround sound setup. The discreet profile of the FX speakers and the angled baffle design incorporates a single 6-inch C-CAM bass/mid driver featuring RST technology and C-CAM Gold tweeters. Flush-mounting is possible on side or rear walls, blending into the décor unobtrusively. Its dispersion characteristics can be easily changed with a switch, accommodating the previse requirements for dipole or bipole orientation. This gives the Silver FX speakers the maximum flexibility they need in a multi-channel system setup.

Silver W12 V2 Subwoofer:

The Monitor Audio Silver W12 Subwoofer delivers thunderous bass right down to 22 Hz through the use of a powerful, long-throw 12-inch driver. The over specified driver assembly included in the W12 will employ a highly powerful magnet system and a massive voice coil to deliver immense power from the compact sealed cabinet. The W12 uses a heavy-duty diecast basket that will hold the system rigidly together as well as assist thermal sinking to keep the driver cool.

The Silver W12 Subwoofer uses a specified 500-watt Class-D amplifier and power-supply module from highly-regarded amplifier specialist Hypex… This provides incredible headroom and utilises advanced switch-mode power conversion techniques. A powerful DSP has been used to deliver the best performance and filter characteristics, while at the same time running the unique Automatic Position Correction system. APC is a completely in-house development that has been designed to automatically correct for room modes. APC uses a microphone and test tone to calculate detrimental room modes and correct frequency response. This will optimise the W12 for the room and position in which it is placed. APC is a simple and quick automated process, and will allow the user to enjoy the W12 to the best of its ability.

A 32-Bit micro-controller lies at the very heart of the Silver W12 Subwoofer, this monitors performance thousands of times per second, ensuring the system is delivering the best possible quality in bass reproduction. Even at maximum power, the Silver W12 will never become over-driven or distorted.
