This high-performance powered subwoofer lets you experience the reference-quality sound that has made M&K the choice of professionals. The VX-1250 has the incredibly powerful and dynamic output, articulation, low distortion, and "quick" sound that have made M&K the standard in subwoofers. This subwoofer is the ideal foundation of any home theatre.

The VX-1250SFX's all-discrete amplifier design has exceptional sonic quality and a conservative power rating of 250 watts continuous output. The new SFX model uses the NEW SF SuperFast driver, and since these drivers are more sensitive than previous drivers, this means even more output power per given wattage! THX™ SELECT rating assures easiest installation and setup with simple switch settings.

To facilitate easy connection to ANY system, THX or not, the VX-1250SFX has inputs and outputs for BOTH RCA Line Level and Speaker Level signals. Separate controls allow you to set the bass level and the sub's upper roll off frequency between 40 - 200 Hz, with a bypass for using the filter in a home theatre receiver. For use with NON-Home Theatre receivers (i.e. stereo) both the RCA OUTPUTS and SPEAKER LEVEL OUTPUTS are filtered (high pass / low cut) so no additional crossovers or filters are needed.

For precise fine-tuning of the critical sonic splice between the subwoofer and the main speakers, there is a phase control, continuously variable between 0 and 180 degrees. Other features include an auto turn-on circuit, an off-on switch, and a detachable power cord.
