Subduction was the debut 2004 instrumental album from FNDMNTL, a three piece ‘band’ producing “deep-dub-downtempo-soul, acid jazz and hip-hop”, using “guitar, percussion, programming, bass, turntables, and samplers”, producing “encompassing beefy instruments, fat filled bass lines, sharp traps, and sugary sprinkles of tasty programming.”

I found this on my usual gROUSe Last.FM station. For the past few months it’s been throwing up the same stuff, but it came up with the track ‘impatient for toast’, so thought I’d check them out to see if the rest of the FNDMNTL Subduction album was as interesting – and it was! This might not be to everyone’s taste, but for those that like this sort of thing, you’ll love it!
