The Bowers and Wilkins HTM2 Diamond D3 Centre Speaker is the perfect match for the smaller speakers in the 800 range. After 8 years of research and development, Bowers and Wilkins have found a better performing core than Kevlar®, and that is Continuum. This is the best cone they have developed yet and that is due to the core reducing and getting rid of the sharp and sudden changes in sound and behaviour that can be heard when listening to music or watching films. The new cones construction means it has a smoother, more neutral sound.

Matrix™ is an internal structure that Bowers and Wilkins use on its HTM2 Diamond D3 Centre Speaker and it comprises of criss-crossed interlocking panels that then keep the cabinets rigid and firm. The changes with the new 800 series are that solid plywood has replaced the MDF and metal components have been added to key stress points to help strengthen and support them.

The Bowers and Wilkins HTM2 Diamond D3 Centre Speaker features a diamond dome tweeter which is then stored in a solid piece of aluminium. Due to it being extremely stiff yet very light make it the best tweeter material researched and developed so far. All these things allow the domes to produce crystal clear sound, with extreme precision, openness and detail to whatever kind of source you're playing through them.
