As Record Store Day approaches, we are all looking forward to seeing all our old customers again, however, due to COVID 19, we and all other shops have had to change the rules applied to these amazing days.

Record Store Day Rules 2020

  1. No more than 5 customers in-store at the same time.
  2. 15-minute limit to choosing your selection of Vinyl.
  3. Masks and Gloves (provided) must be worn.
Last year we had our most successful event ever with 100’s of our customers enjoying in-store events with the Henry Trio performing, free draws and Hi-Fi demonstrations throughout the day, plus generous drinks and food for all. Record Store Day 2020 will need to be different for the foreseeable future due to government advice. We at Frank Harvey Hi Fi Excellence are all concerned with customer and staff safety.

With this in mind, to keep everybody safe and well whilst browsing the RSD 2020 vinyl’s we need to restrict the number of customers instore. We will also ask customers to wear face masks and gloves which we have high numbers of supply’s available including hand sanitiser. In this, we hope that all music fans will get to pick up treasured rarities in a safe environment which still supports local Record shops.
The store will open at 9.00 am and close at 5.30 pm. We have arranged a booking system to help us to control the number of people instore at the same time and help to avoid some of the queues experienced in previous years. To secure a timeslot, simply download the app.
To Book a Time Slot 

If you have an Android device you can download the BookaShop app on the Google Play Store or on Apple devices on the Apple App Store.

Once you have downloaded the app create an account. After your account is created search Frank Harvey Hi Fi. Select our store and book a time slot of your choice, once your booking is confirmed you can view the booking under the profile tab.
Please ensure you can attend your dedicated time slot. If you cannot book a time slot, we will be allowing walk-in but only within our maximum allowance of instore. Ensure you book a time slot to guarantee an in-store slot.

Obviously, we will do our best to accommodate all customers but if queuing please keep 2-metre distance and follow all safety rules.

Having Issues with the BookAShop App?

I'm not recieving a text to verify my account...

When you download the app and sign up be sure to select the correct extension number (eg +44), when doing this be sure to put in the correct phone number without the 0 for the +44. (example, 07387592938 would be 7387592938). If you have entered your full number you will need to contact or online here.

I've downloaded the app but it's not letting me book...

Once you have successfully created your account and accessed the app be sure to allow the app to use your location settings, if you select no the app will not be able to search the area for our store or any store in the area meaning the app will not work correctly. If you have accidentally selected no close the app, navigate settings on your phone, find apps, then select BookAShop. On Permissions allow Location, nothing else needs to be allowed. Reload the app and it should allow you to search, find our store, and book your dedicated slot.

I don't have access to a smartphone...

If you do not have access to a smartphone to download the app, don't worry! You can call us on 02476 631 707 and we can book you in a time slot. We're only offering 1 time slot every 15 minutes for customers who book over the phone. We will be allowing customers instore even if you haven't booked a time slot, but be aware customers who have booked a time slot will be prioritised over any customers who want to walk in.
