The Audioquest LeoPard Tonearm Cable combines superior metals and insulation with a Noise-Dissipation System (NDS) to ensure a low-distortion, low-signal-loss result. 

Solid 100% Perfect-Surface Silver Conductors (PSS)

Solid 100% perfect-surface conductors are used within this cable to provide you with the purest reproduction possible. Perfect-surface technology, when applied to extreme-purity silver, will provide a clarity and dynamic contrast that is utterly unprecedented. Solid conductors will prevent strand interaction, thus combating one of the most common sources of cable distortion. Extremely high-purity perfect-surface silver will minimise distortion caused by the grain boundaries that can be found within any metal conductor, resulting in almost complete elimination of harshness, and increased clarity when compared to OFHC, OCC, 8N and other coppers.

FEP Air-Tube Insulation

The Audioquest LeoPard Tonearm Cable also features FEP (Fluoro-Polymer) air-tube insulation. Any solid material that is adjacent to a conductor is actually a part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit boards will absorb energy (loss), some of which is then stored and later released as distortion. The conductors within the LeoPard Tonearm Cable will absorb next to no energy, and the FEP means the insulation is extrudable and solid, and absorbs less energy than any other material. The FEP air-tubes have almost nothing but air around the solid PSS conductos.

Dielectric-Bias System (DBS)

The Dielectric-Bias System (DSB) within the Audioquest LeoPard Tonearm Cable creates a strong and stable electrostatic field, saturating and polarising the molecules of the insulation and resulting in minimised energy storage in the insulation and the multiple nonlinear time-delays that occur. This will enable sound to appear as if upon a surprisingly black background with astounding detail and dynamic contrast. The DBS battery packs will last for years, and a test button with an LED light will indicate whether the battery is running low.

Carbon-Based 4-Layer Noise-Dissipation System

The Audioquest LeoPard Tonearm Cable’s carbon-based 4-layer noise-dissipation system will prevent captured RF interference from modulating the equipment’s ground reference. The metal and carbon-loaded synthetics within the LeoPard prevent most RF interference from reaching the ground plane.

Termination

The plug design on the LeoPard enables a perfect heat-free connection between the cable and the plug. This has been made possible thanks to AudioQuest’s Cold-Weld System, which works to provide a superior connection and ensure that the structural integrity of the conductor is kept completely intact. This Cold-Weld System uses a combination of high-pressure at the point of contact, and the use of copper-or-silver impregnated paste. The LeoPard Tonearm Cable itself uses the silver impregnated paste.
