The Arcam P429 features a class G amplifier, acoustically dampened chassis, complementary transistor output stages, a toroidal transformer based power supply and extremely low levels of noise and distortion. In fact when the amplifier is being used at a normal level distortion is measured at less than one part per million so the power the amplifier produces is delivered with a massive amount of control.
It appeals to both HiFi and AV buffs due to its bridged mode of operation, which allows up to 270W power output per channel and the ability to add matching class G amplification to an existing AVR550/ AV850 for a full 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos setup. The P429 can also be used for custom installs with features like 12V in/out triggers, IP & RS232 control and individual channel trims. Arcam has many years of amplifier design experience and you can really see that in the P429, it uses the best quality components and engineering to build a truly outstanding sounding component.
