| The Wharfedale Diamond 10.SR rear effect speakers have been designed specifically to generate the perfect rear sound field, a topic that many manufacturers miss-understand. It is simply not enough to use smaller standard loudspeakers to handle the rear effects. A dedicated bi-polar speaker is necessary to convey the true spatial sensation as these alone can produce both the diffuse ambient sound, and the precise stereo image needed to feel truly involved. When placed on a rear wall, a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 10.SR will create a direct and precise stereo image from the inward facing drivers, while the outward facing drivers fire onto the walls to create both reverb and ambience |

| The Wharfedale Diamond 10.SR rear effect speakers are the latest evolution of the classic Wharfedale Diamond 'rear effect' speakers. Replacing the hugely successful, multi-award winning Diamond 9.SR, the new speaker aims to build upon its exceptional heritage by delivering even better sonic value. |
| To make the most of the Wharfedale Diamond 10.SR's stronger cabinet, the main drive unit chassis has been enhanced with a massive flange that is secured using six screws, thus improving its stability. A diamond pattern has also been moulded into the surround of the Kevlar cone; this is more than just cosmetic as the pattern reduces and damps standing waves in the surround, yielding a cleaner high-frequency acoustic roll-off and enhancing the ability of the mid/bass unit and tweeter to work as a cohesive whole. |
| These improvements have been applied not only to the Wharfedale Diamond 10.SR, but also to the rest of the extensive Diamond 10 Series. The full range - details of which will be announced shortly - includes two further stand-mount speakers and five floorstanding designs, plus three centre speakers, a dedicated surround speaker and three active subwoofers for home cinema applications. |
