The New KEF Picoforte 1 Digital Component Audio System including the KEF 1001 speakers delivers "big" sound from the "smallest" package. KEF have crammed everything that they have learned in the 45 innovative years of award winning high-end loudspeaker design into the new KEF Picoforte 1 iPod docking station. The result is a compact component audio system with a "no compromise" sound output for the way we live today. Simply dock and play to fill the room with vibrant, detailed sound that will revolutionize the way you experience your iPod. The iPod charges as it plays, so you enjoy music without interruption. Its sleek, slender design fits almost any room's décor. And the included remote lets you control the iPod system from across the room.

Like all great ideas, the concept is simple. A complete stereo sound system that gives you everything you need to experience true digital sound from your iPod or MP3 Player. Further more KEF Uni-Q® "sit-anywhere" technology means that you can enjoy the same rich stereo image wherever you sit.

The compact and flexible KEF Picoforte 1 is designed to be simple to set up, whilst having the flexibility to adapt to your personal environment. The speaker cable supplied can be cut to length, so that speakers can be positioned as far apart as you desire. The optional subwoofer connection means that lovers of "bass" can have their dreams answered by adding a sub woofer such as the KEF PSW1000.2 or the KEF PSW2500 for stunning base reproduction. The S-Video connection means that you can use a TV screen to display song titles (in a wide range of supported languages) or even play movies (if your iPod supports this).

The KEF Picoforte I uses the same high quality speakers from the compact KHT 1000 series and uses the much improved series 2 driver that features in both the KHTS 1000 and KHT6000 series. Both are available in High Gloss Black or High Gloss White. The KEF Picoforte 1 really does mean that you can fill your room with sound without filling it with Hi Fi equipment. The KEF 1001 die-cast metal loudspeaker enclosures not only have a superb, high quality feel, but are also acoustically inert making for a superior sound performance. Using an audiophile quality, class D amplifier and the award winning KHT Series loudspeakers with Uni-Q "sit-anywhere"technology, the soundscape is both rich and expansive.

Convenient and very simple to set-up.

Supplied with "credit card" style remote control, which fully controls the iPod.

Photo and video output also available for your TV (where supported by the iPod).
