The Project Essential II Digital Turntable can be taken fresh out of the box and connected straight to your home entertainment system. Due to the new built in internal phono stage it gives you the option to choose to connect it via analogue Line Level or digital Optical. Projects famous Phono Box design is used on the analogue side of the output stage and can produce high quality sound from the supplied moving magnet cartridge. Whether you listen to your sources through a TV, AVR, Soundbar or multi-room system, the Optical output uses an ADC (analogue-digital converter) which changes the analogue signal to a digital one to work with your digital sources.
The Essential II Digital features an 8.6" aluminium tonearm, an Ortofon OM5E cartridge, a low voltage motor and a heavy MDF platter. There is a perimeter belt drive system used with a silicone belt so they all tie in together nicely and get the best performance possible. It is also supplied with a dust cover in the box. On the actual plinth itself is a "Digital" logo which has been emblazoned on and is finished with high gloss paint in either black or white. If you're looking for a turntable to slot right into your system whether it is a traditional Hi Fi or even a modern multi room music system, the Project Essential II Digital turntable might be for you.
