Vulcan cabs finished- Kord Vulcan by hoopsontoast, on Flickr and a new CDP for a change, (Ta Kev) which is sounding rather lovely, for a dvd player System by hoopsontoast, on Flickr Just got Hot Chips new album spinning on vinyl atm and sounding rather good, I have added a Denon AU-320 SUT which you can see hiding away under the TT. Would be nice to have a matching amp like the slightly newer TA-FA5ES

If you want to hear some valve amps (and a massive variety of kit) pop along to the Scalford Hall Hifi Show in 2013 - http://www.thehifishow.com/ The website is down atm though.

Not sure yet, early days. Certainly better controlled bass. I have some KT88, KT120 and EL34 tubes to play around with and got to chose one pair. At the moment, the i prefer the KT88.
Yes kev, the Sony and BDP are going strong, was going to sell the BD-30 but will keep it as back-up as the Sony has skipped a couple of times on some old DVD's. Will give it another go with the lens cleaning disk at some point.

I dont have the TA2020 'Amptastic' Mini-T anymore, it was on loan. Its a great little amp, very open and fast/detailed. I was going to buy another one, as they are so cheap @ £60 to go with the Icon Pre, but decided to go back down the valve power amp route, with the ASL's then the Audion. I will probably buy another at some point, great as a spare in anycase. Solved the heat issue System by hoopsontoast, on Flickr
