As our open evenings are becoming a little cramped, we will be holding an open day on
Saturday, December 1st (10:00am-4:00pm), which will allow everyone to spend more time looking and listening, and hopefully reduce congestion a little!
So far, Diverse Vinyl, AudioQuest, Chord Electronics, Rega, Sony, KEF, Hi-Fi Racks, Sonos, Bryston, PMC, Ken Kreisel Sound, Cyrus, and AVA Media are all confirmed! Keep checking back though, as more manufacturers and products may be added!
Breakdown of the rooms/display areas:
Diverse Vinyl will be in their usual position just across "the bridge" on the ground floor with a back catalogue of vinyl as well as new releases. At the rear of this room,
Rega will be joiing us for this event for the first time and showing their current R Series -
Brio-R,
Apollo-R and
DAC - as well as their snazzy new
RP8 turntable, the
Isis CD player and the
Osiris amplifier.
PMC Fact 8 loudspeakers will be used by Rega to demonstrate these products.

On the first floor, our main AV demo room will be hosted by the mighty
Bryston SP3 AV processor and
9Bsst2 power amplifier. As per last year, these will be driving the
PMC Twenty.24 front and rear, with the dedicated
Twenty Centre (which hadn't been released last year!). Another new brand (exclusively) for our store and the UK will be providing the subwoofers -
Ken Kreisel Professional Sound. There will be a stack of
three DXD12012 push-pull subwoofers - that's a total of six 12" bass drivers possibly providing enough force to bring down our 500 year old building! (Apologies in advance if that statement turns out to be accurately prophetic!). These will be EQ'd using the
Antimode Dual Core room EQ system.

The visuals for this fantastic system will be equally amazing -
Sony's VW1000ES 4K home theatre projector projected onto a 108" screen. Sadly, the source material won't be 4K as there's nothing yet available, so upscaled 1080p Bluray will be on show, which still looks phenomenal.

Outside of the demo room,
Cyrus will be showing their new app for their popular streamers, and showing their new products like the WHF Award winning streamer, the Stream XP2. They will also be joined by
AVA Media, who will be providing music for the day via their
Rip-N-Play NAS drive.
Sonos will also be present, showing their current range of multi-room streaming solutions.

On the second floor in the hi-fi demo room,
Chord Electronics will be showing their new
DSX1000 streamer, with the
CPA5000 pre-amplifier and
SPM1200 power amplifier. These will be feeding a pair of
KEF Reference 205/2's. Cables will be provided by
AudioQuest.

The AV demo room on the this floor will be using a 5.2 set up comprised of
five KEF LS50 Anniversary loudspeakers. These will be driven by a
Pioneer SCLX86 AV receiver and
BDPLX55 Bluray player, and will be using an
Antimode 8033 sub EQ to get the most out of both of the
R400b subwoofers that will be present.
Between these two rooms,
KEF's gamechanging Blades will again be on demo, but this year will be driven by a system by
Chord Electronics system, comprising their
Red Reference MkIII CD player,
DSX1000 streamer,
CPA5000 pre-amplifier, and a pair of
SPM6000 monoblock power amplifiers. Again, cables will be provided by
AudioQuest.
KEF will also be showing their new
active X300A loudspeakers!
Most cables will be provided by
AudioQuest, and most of the racking will be provided by
Hi-Fi Racks Ltd.

There will be the usual buffet and drinks available, prizes to be won, and generous discounts and offers for those attending
